R.I.P. Jenny
My father's dog passed away last night.
Thirteen years ago, Jenny was found with a rope tied round her neck and a plastic bag around her snout :(
My dad took her home, cleaned her up, had her vaccinated and neutered. Despite her trauma Jenny turned out to be the sweetest, most kind-hearted and loving dog imaginable. We're going to miss her so, but I'm glad after her initial ordeal she had a happy and stress-free life. Rest in peace.

Duni,
ReplyDeleteI am sorry for your loss and for your Dad too, but you can feel good that your Dad gave her a chance at life all those years ago, and you all got to share in the greatness of "Jenny".
May she rest in peace. My heart goes out to both!
Take care,

It's always heart-wrenching when a beloved pet dies, but it sounds like your dad rescued her from a horrible situation. Glad to hear that she had a happy life.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear about Jenny. However, you blessed her with a great life and much love that she would not have had otherwise. Her sweetness was her thanking you everyday and I am sure she is smiling down on you from heaven now.
ReplyDeleteHugs to you and your family in this tough time.
My baby, Puff, is 11 and I'm already seeing him sleeping more than he used to. He chose me and God loaned him to me. He is my guarding angel and I know how it will hurt when he's gone. I feel for all of you that loved Jenny.

I'm so sorry for your loss of Jenny, what a lovely dog. Your dad is a good man, taking her in and treating her well. Despite her start in life she re-payed him by being the kind-hearted, loving dog you describe. She knew he would never do anything like that to her.
ReplyDeleteSo often the most ill-treated dogs or cats turn out to be the best pets - it's like they appreciate it when they find an owner who treats them well. I'm so sorry to hear about Jenny and I'm sure she was dearly loved and will be missed.
