Fleamarket Finds
I love spending weekends at markets, especially in summer, and every once in a while I pick up gems that other people consider 'junk'. I found these two items recently for peanuts. After I cleaned and removed the candlewax residue from the bowl it was as good as new and looks very decorative in my home. I'm not sure why anyone would want to light candles in it though? And the shabby style coat hook is perfect for hanging up a few of my handmade decorations.

ReplyDeleteWay back when my daughter was first born it used to be regular Sunday event to walk through the flea market in the summer. I always enjoy those. You found some great items, that bowl is pretty and I like the coat hooks too.
ReplyDeleteI am always wanting to go to flea markets, yard sales, etc., but the problem is I don't know anyone else who wants to go. I would just love your home - I can tell from your incredible taste here :)

ReplyDeleteLove the coat hook! I don't go flea marketing or yard sailing much anymore- I once had to help clean out a house, and we barely made a dent after two days. It scared me (seriously)!

Those are both very pretty! I can't see the treasures through the junk at flea markets and it's so frustrating to me. I'm sure I've passed up so many great finds just because I couldn't see it's true beauty. Wanna go to the flea market with me? :)
