Lovely Lavender
I hauled out my fabric scraps box the other day and played around with the various patterns and colours. I finally settled on combining large and small patterns in a two-colour scheme, i.e. brown-pink, green-pink etc. The scraps were quite small - just enough to make 4 x 4 inch dried lavender- filled cushions. Stacked up in fluffy piles of three they are a fabulous decoration for your bed or bathroom! Used individually they can be placed in your drawers adding a bit of 'old fashioned' scent. These cushion stacks make great gifts too!

What a great way to use up the scraps and I love the color combinations.
ReplyDeleteThey're very pretty- love the brown one with polka dots. We have a ton of lavender in our garden... I should make some sachets...
ReplyDeleteI love finding ways to use bits of fabric. Now, I just need to complete those projects that use LARGE bits of fabric:)
ReplyDeleteThose colors and patterns are so pretty together!
ReplyDeleteI saw you noticed that I signed up for FB because of you! I have a business only account, not a personal one so I'm finding that I'm limited on what I can do but I'm still learning the ropes too. Thanks for "liking" me!
These are so cute and creative. They brought back memories of when my advanced sewing students finished their projects early. I would have them use scrap fabric to create these and some oin cushions. They enjoyed it :)
ReplyDeleteI love that photo! How do you take your photos, Duni? What's your camera and do you use special lights? Or is there a certain time of day/spot in your house that makes your photos look like they were shot in a professional light box??? =D
ReplyDeleteI love the color combination! So pretty!
