According to the official Pantone Fashion Color Report, colors this Spring season "transport us to a happier, sunnier place"...
Well, Green Flash certainly brings back memories of a screaming green sweater I owned about fifteen years ago! Imagine combining the vivid Buttercup, Fiesta and Green Flash. Kind of reminds me of carnival. However, I certainly love the neutral quality of Lilac Gray and Iced Coffee. Thankfully there's a fresh aqua and a solid blue, as these are always sought after in fabric collections. As you probably know I love pastels. So, of course I appreciate the soft and soothing shades of Rose Quartz and Serenity. Incidentally, these were chosen as the Pantone 2016 color(s) of the year - yay!

Wie auch immer, Green Flash erinnert mich automatisch an den Pullover, den ich mal vor rund fünfzehn Jahren getragen habe ;) Die Kombination von leuchtendem Gelb, Korallenrot und Grassgrün erinnert dann allerdings stark an Karneval! Sehr schön finde ich die neutralen Töne Lilac Gray und Iced Coffee. Toll finde ich, dass es wieder ein frisches Aqua und Royalblau gibt, da bei Stoffkollektionen diese Farben besonders gefragt sind. Meine Favoriten sind natürlich die wunderschön pastelligen Töne Rose Quartz und Serenity welche von Pantone dieses Jahr zu den ausnahmsweise zwei Farben des Jahres 2016 gekürt wurden!

ReplyDeleteich habe auch schon die neuen Farben ausgespäht und ein paar Notizhefte hergestellt. Mir gefallen die Blautöne sehr gut, aber auch Lilac Gray und Peach Echo. Die ungebrochenen Farbtöne finde ich sehr kühl und muss mich erst noch anfreunden. Deine Auswahl an Produkten zu den Farben ist sehr gelungen.

Das Lilac Gray gefällt mir auch sehr gut. Es ist so mild und angenehm zum Anschauen.
Und der "Serenty"-Ton gefällt mir auch besonders gut. Die Kette darin sieht superschön aus.

Oh those colors are too much - can't imagine having them on my walls. I love yellow but that buttercup color hurts my eyes.

ReplyDeleteI'm especially drawn to fiesta, snorkel blue, iced coffee, green flash and buttercup on this list. I live for bold saturated color :D haha. Thanks for sharing this list, it's interesting to think about as a designer. Funn enough, I too once own a screaming green sweater in that same shade.

ReplyDeleteI was surprised to see so many bright colors when I first saw Pantone's report for this year! I'm more of a neutral person, but it's also nice to see happy, sunny shades. It's a nice reminder that spring is around the corner!

ReplyDeleteI had heard about rose quartz and serenity because of Sephora's collections, but I hadn't heard about these other colors! They are quite lovely!!!!

ReplyDeleteI love the new colors. They seem so perfect for the Spring but they also don't seem too pastel. I'm not a huge fan of pastel so I'm loving this selection.
