Late summer has been kind to us this year, with blue skies and plenty of sunshine! Sumi has been with us for almost a year now and she seems happier, more playful than when she first arrived. My pink hydrangeas are still blooming. I was gifted this gorgeous handmade placemat & coaster set by the lovely Claudia. Sweet surprise! Although our tree is still quite small there were plenty of apples to be picked - which I made into apples sauce, tarts and apple crumble cake (above). So delicious! I'm very sorry to see summer go...

So köstlich!
I'm with you, I'm sorry to see summer ending too. That hydrangea bloom is beautiful. Mine only got a couple blooms on it this year and they weren't very colorful.
ReplyDeletethose apples look yummy!
ReplyDeleteGood to heat that Sumi is doing good!
Those placemats are super cute!!
How wonderful that Sumi is doing better and better! The pink hydrangeas are gorgeous. For some reason we don't see that color here, just the blue and the white versions. That fabric of the coasters and placements is fabulous! It is sad to see summer go but now the tasty fall season will bring us apples, squashes and other delicious goodies. :)
ReplyDeleteLiebste Duni,
Beautiful Photos! Your Pink Hydrangea Photo is amazing! I don't think I have seen a Pink Hydrangea primarily in NY - they are various shades of blues or purples. The Pie looks delicious also! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet slice of life post! The flowers are stunning, and your apple dessert looks delicious. I'm so glad Sumi is doing well. It makes me sad to reach the end of summer, too. :(
ReplyDeleteLove those pink hydrangeas! And I'm glad Sumi is settling in nicely :)
ReplyDeleteI really miss fresh apples! It's great Sumi has become more at ease with her new home. =)
ReplyDeleteWe are going apple picking on Sunday - wish I could send you a bunch of crisp NY apples.
DeleteWhen my children were young I would take them and a few of their friends apple picking - at the time it was $5 a bag, so I would purchase a couple of bags for the children to fill. Now they are charging $35 per bag. Glad my children are grown - now they are treating me :)!
apples! lucky you!
ReplyDeletelove the montage of photos!
Love your photos! My daughter has two apple trees and two pear trees and we have been swimming in fruit this year! Love the coaster set! Lovely fabric! (I would notice the fabric!)
